HTOC Church School 2006-2007 |
W O R S H I P
This year our church school curriculum will explore the central role of Worship in our life. In the Orthodox Church, ever since the apostolic era, worship has been an expression of thanksgiving to God for all that He has done for us. Worship is at the very heart of Orthodoxy. Our reason for existence is to make a glorious self-offering to God for all eternity. We are worshipping beings. The central reason for our being is our relationship with "Father - Son - and Holy Spirit." "Thine own of Thine own, we offer unto Thee on behalf of all and for all."
Experiencing the local Orthodox life of worship is essential, not only on Sundays, but Vespers and Feast Days throughout the year. Orthodoxy is ultimately a community of people who worship.
Please come and worship with the faithful parishioners of HTOC.
